This review is part follow-up and part new product review as Sunbeam is always creating new products. Here are the previous Sunbeam reviews that you can reference for further detailed information: Single Color CCFL Review and the Multi-color CCFL Review.
Sunbeam Company currently uses a brown or white colored box with a lamp color indicator to ship their CCFL's.
That box is pretty ugly right? Well, yes it is, but very soon we will be seeing new Sunbeam packaging for all their products, this is what the new CCFL box will look like:
I have received several shipments of CCFL's from Sunbeam and recently, the packaging for shipment has improved significantly. Even though I have never received a broken lamp, (out of about 12 shipped to me) it is nice to see that extra steps have been taken to ensure that never happens.
Inside, the corners are filled with folded foam sheeting that creates a holder for the bubble-wrapped lamp and a padded holder for the inverter box. The contents are: 12 inch CCFL, inverter in protective box, power harness, toggle switch, Velcro, and the instructions.
