-- LED Sticks

The items on this page are alternatives to CCFL Lighting, one using Bubbles and one using Meteors (we swear!).

The Meteor Light comes in a few options, multi color and single color. There is a decent picture of a 3 color meteor light on the back of the box.

The Bubble Light and Meteor Light are basically the same. They are both LED driven, have the same type of functionality with the only real difference being where the LEDs are located.

Like I said above, both kits come with the exact same setup. Here is the Bubble Light with all of the items included.

Here is the wiring harness from the Meteor Light. The button changes the flashing speed and the slide switch is a SPDT on/off switch with 1 side unused.

Pictured are both sides of the "inverter" used with these led products. Each jack is color coded for easy installation.  You might notice that these "inverters" are 'dualies' which is more of a requirement for today's modder. FYI, I had both products plugged into one of the inverters for the following images and movies and there was no build up of heat or any kind of noise.

I put this next shot because a lot of people in the forums and GideonTech's IRC channel (irc:// have asked to see how the light is put together. The "Meteors" are just a series of LED's sitting on a very small PCB that runs the length of the light. I think this light has a lot of mod potential as it could be reconfigured for a Knight Rider mod or maybe a Las Vegas themed case with trailing lights.

Here is a shot of the business end of the Bubble Light. If you look really closely you can see there are 3 led's used to create a lot of colors. Take a look at the AVI's below for action shots of the Bubble Light and Meteor Light.
