The next items to look at are the new IDE cables from Sunbeam.
There are 2 kinds available, the flat EL Tape version and the EL Wire
The cables are basic ATA100/133 rounded cable with an aluminum sheathing and a clear rubber covering. The clear coating serves two purposes: 1) a way to hold the EL product and 2) to reduce electrical conductivity, either way, these are very nice looking cables.
Each cable comes with an inverter to power the EL products and it connects to the IDE cable through a 2 pin quick connect adapter.
The Blue EL Tape IDE Cable turned on in a fairly dark room.
Here is the red EL Wire close-up to show off the color. It's curious that the red EL Wire was actually a dark orange with a yellow center, which would look really nice if you had a fire themed case.
Here is the red cable in a dark room to show off the color. This product is a pretty good red when looking from a distance, but with most red products in computer modding, it is hard to find consistency.
