-- Samsung Syncmaster 173P 17" LCD Monitor
-- Price: $630.00 USD
-- 03.05.2004

There is a pivoting circle on the back that allows the screen to be positioned vertically.  Nearly all Samsung units I have reviewed all have this feature.  I don't exactly find it all that useful as I don't like reading my text documents vertically, however, it is available to those that do.

The rear of the unit is where you will find the power and display connections.  They are all labeled for easy access.

The arm holding up the screen features a double jointed design.  It allows for very wide angle orientations for the user.  This can be retracted to allow for wall mounting using the included mounting kit.  As most people will be standing this up on their desk, wall mounting instructions will not be discussed, but available within the manual on the compact disc.

On a desk, this model gave an extra 6 inches of space compared to the 172T.  Mostly due to the very small footprint needed by the 173P.
