One of the best lighting accessories to add to your
case nowadays is the addition of CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent
lights). These are a ton brighter than
conventional neons without the heat and that annoying humming noise.
Today we'll have a round up going, on a set of CCFLs
from SideWinder
Computers. These are complete kits with a
sealed inverter, rocker switch and pre-wired molex connectors.
It's as plug and play as you can get.

Like the carpet? I sure do, anyway, with
the kit here's what you get:
- 1 4-inch length (100 mm) cold cathode tube
- 1 12-volt power inverter
- 1 pre-applied black heatshrink tubing
- 1 on/off rocker switch
- 1 half-inch clear, protective acrylic tube
- 1 4-pin Molex power connector
- 1 80mm Velcro strip
- 2 plastic square double-stick tape mounts
- 2 plastic zip ties
A total package ready to be incorporated into your case
with all the fixings. SideWinder Computers offer 3 different
colors: icy blue, acid green and industrial white. We have all of
them here for your viewing pleasure.

All of the CCFLs come in an acrylic
tube to prevent them from breaking. It's small enough to not get in
the way.

You get Velcro and zip tie mounts with the
kit so you can fasten them to any area of your case.

Between the power inverter and the molex
connector is a rocker switch. This lets you turn off the light when
needed. I usually mount these switches like this:
