Overall I am disappointed with the Evergreen
Performa III unit. It lacked stability, which may have been
caused by a bios issue. The testing program Evergreen uses
should include better support for retail computer manufacturers.
I highly doubt that there are no Bios updates for a machine that is
almost 2 years old.
On a side note I have seen other hardware review
sites review the same unit, and didn't have the same stability
problems that we had. Never the less, I cannot give the
Performa III a good rating until stability, and support for retail
computer manufacturers is improved.
Pros:
- Performance from what we could see in our limited
benchmarks was on par with a P3 850
- Easy upgrade, very straight forward
- Clear instructions
Cons:
- Lack of stability
- Lack of support for retail computer manufacturers
- May not work if you have a retail computer
- Pricey
