First let's look at the included cables. First, if you have a case LED
that uses a 3-pin cable, PC Mods has included an adapter cable, since
the P.D.P uses a 2 pin connector. Here is the cable:
Next on the list is the WOL cable. The
WOL cable provides the power for the Power Down Protector when the
system is off. The WOL is: "A remote wake-up technology that enables
you to remotely power systems "on" for off-hours maintenance.", Intel.
Here is the WOL Cable just like the ones that come with network cards.
The next cable is the 3 pin fan extension cable. This
cable runs from the motherboard fan headers to the P.D.P. If you
normally attach your 3 pin fans too, it makes the P.D.P a
pass-through. Here is what those cables (2 of them) look like.
The last cable type is a 3 pin to Molex 4 pin. There
is one male Molex and 1 female Molex. These 2 cables are only used in
special circumstances since the 3 pin fan cables can plug directly
into the Power Down Protector. The male cable can be used instead of
one of the 3 pin to 3 pin cables. The female cable is used if you want
to use a 4 pin connector fan instead of a 3 pin. There should be
enough combinations of cables in this "kit" to satisfy any setup.
