-- Crossover Mission 2 Water Cooling Kit
-- Price: ~$134.99 USD
-- 09.07.2003

One of the major reasons to use water cooling is the low noise aspect of the setup.  Often, an air cooled system will exhibit the standard whining noise, especially in a high CFM environment.  However, in previous years, water cooling gear was expensive and there was always the fear of water exploding into your case if done wrong.  So like the case modding market, manufacturers have gone ahead and created stand alone kits that are quick and easy to set up.  Do they really stack up as being reliable and worthwhile at the same time?

Today we will take a look at the Mission 2 kit from Crossover.  This company is located in Korea, so you most likely won't understand their website unless you can read Korean.

   Here is what is included:

  • CPU Waterblock (AMD/P4 compat.)

  • Reservoir/Pump combo

  • 80mm Radiator

  • Screws/Nuts

  • Elbow tubing connectors

  • P4 acrylic block and LEDs

The neat thing about this kit is that it doesn't use any clamps.  Instead, each inlet/outlet is attached to a tube by the means of locking 'teeth'.  In the above elbow connector picture, pushing down on the blue area will retract the teeth.  Push the tube inside and let go and the teeth will bite onto the tubing to keep it in place.
