By now most of you have probably seen or even used either a fan bus or
bay bus to control your fans. There are so many choices now,
that making one yourself may actually cost more money or time.
If that's the case, in steps the
Color Control unit from
IceePC.

This 4 channel bay bus allows you to
control the amount of voltage each fan gets, thus lowering speed and
noise when needed. Here are some specs off the packaging:
-
Input Voltage 12 V
-
Output Voltage 7 V ~ 12 V
-
Output Current 0.35 A ~ 1 A
-
Input Connector Pitch 2.54mm , 3 Pin
-
Output Connector Pitch 2.54mm , 3 Pin

The Color Control fits in any 5 1/4"
expansion bay. The knobs stick out a little under an inch.
If you have a case that has swinging panel door, check measurements
before purchasing. The unit is about 3 inches deep.
Each channel has support for tuning
from 7 Volts to 12 Volts. The clear knobs use LEDs to
indicate minimum, middle and maximum speeds using red, green, blue
respectively.

The unit is powered by your standard 4
pin molex. The printed circuit board elimnates the mess that
most home made bay buses exhibit. Each channel uses a 3 pin
header for your fan connection. This poses problems if your
fan is un-tailed or uses a 4 pin connector. Additional
connectors for your fans may be needed depending on your situation.
