-- Conclusions

I wasn’t blown away with anything I’ve observed, good or bad.  I believe the Corsair Value Select is a good product. I found it to be stable in all the o/c settings that it could handle Win98 at.  Although it was a bit slower than the Apacer RAM, as you can see, it did overclock a bit higher.  The form factor of the Ram itself would also appeal to those who are using an Alpha cooler on the CPU, as it might allow that extra “squeeze” room needed for them suckers.

Using the Quake 3 timedemo resulted in identical FPS scores at all FSB settings.  Running at 1024X764/32bit/all eye candy on:  30FPS.  At default high settings:  47 FPS.  A possible bottleneck at the video card level, so these numbers were omitted.

As this review is targeted at those who are wondering what the best way to spend limited amounts of upgrade money would be.  Would adding more RAM to your system be the best way to go?  It depends.  On this system, a faster CPU and video card are also needed.  If you already have 128 MB’s of RAM, the CPU and video card might warrant your attention.  If your clunking away with 64 MB’s, with RAM prices the way they are now, this is a very wise investment.

Thanks to Game Hardware for providing us with a great overclocking ram from Corsair at a very reasonable price!  Check out their line of PC gaming products at their store, you'll be sure to find something you need at insanely low prices!
