We're going to be taking a look at a cooler from a
previously unknown company. Dynatron
was formed back in '91 mainly producing AC and DC fans. They
have since expanded over to producing heatsinks to give the demands
of the public a new choice for cooling their CPU.

We received this new copper unit from the
Heatsink
Factory, the DC1206BM-0 model from Dynatron. The guys at HSF
always stock the best units, so I was prepared to be see some good
cooling results from this unit.
Some basic specs of the unit to whet your
appetite:
-
Air Flow:37.61C.F.M
-
Speed:6800RPM
-
Noise:46.5dBA
-
Weight:435gm
-
Dimensions(L*W*H) - Fan:60*60*25(mm) Sink:65*63*32.15(mm)
The unit is recommended for AMD Socket A1.5/1.6/1.7GHZ
chips and INTEL FC-PGA(Socket 370) 933MHZ and 1/1.26GHZ chips.
Sorry P4 users, this one is does not support it : (
So what exactly makes this unit stand out? Dynatron
proudly displays on their site about MicroFine Technology.
Here's what Dynatron says about it:
"What is the MicroFins® Technology? MicroFins® is one of the worlds
most advanced, new concepts developed by Dynatron Corporation, and permits the
production of copper heat sinks with a precise and super fine detail previously
considered impossible." To put it
in layman's terms, it basically is saying they've got a lot of small
fins available on their unit. The way it was created was that
the unit does not have its fins connected to the base. Its
really just one large chunk of copper that was sliced thinly to form
these fins.
