taking a quick look today at one of the most insane looking window
designs, the
Inferno Window Panel from
CrazyPC.
Ever wonder what a 4000 Watt laser can do to a case panel?
There are a few pre-defined designs on CrazyPC that
utilize this laser cut process. We are taking a look at the
Inferno, which is cut with two swirling skulls. This side panel
is meant to be used on a Lian Li PC-6X. Here's how it got to the
testing lab:

This flat box actually came in another large flat box.
Foam padding is used for protection from dents and dings during
shipment.

Here are some specs on this fine piece
of work:
Fits all Lian-Li PC-6X and compatible Lian-Li
cases.
Made of 100% clear acrylic with protective
backing to prevent scratches
Acrylic is solidly affixed to case using 3M
adhesive backing
Laser cut panel for superior accuracy and
clean edges
Made from actual Lian-Li anodized aluminum
side panels.

The pre-cut blowhole in the middle is
covered with plastic. The entire acrylic sheet is also covered
to prevent scratches. After a quick inspection, there were no
signs of mistakes with this unit. Then again, this laser
cutting machine that produced this panel runs about $700,000, it
better not produce any mistakes right?
The middle blowhole can be damaged, so
be careful handling this panel. The blowhole is only connected
by 4 tiny points:

The panel comes in either silver, or
black, corresponding to Lian Li's default colors. Here's what
they look like on the case:

This type of intricate cutting is
nearly impossible with your ordinary Dremel or rotary tool.
There are too many curves and angles that only a laser can create.
If you want something that will turn
heads at any event, this is the panel to use!
Pros:
- Incredible precise pre-cut design
- Acrylic backing
- Lots of protective measures to get it in your hands
Cons:
- Blowhole area can be bent easily
