With tons of things to do to your case in regards to
windows, companies are scrambling to get the next hot item to the
scene. We've seen normal window kits, kits with different
shapes, etched appliques you can apply to your window and now, we
have the pre-etched window itself.

Nick from CrazyPC
sent over a pre-etched window kit for us to take a look at it.
It was something new and I was quite excited to test it out.
Here's what this kit consists of:
- Laser Etched Window (This is not a sticker!)
- Chrome trim molding placed around window hole in side panel
- Reflective tape (used to increase the intensity of the image
that is produced)
- Velcro strips
- Complete assembly instructions
Here are the dimensions in case you need to measure
your case first:
- Window Dimensions: 12" x 9-1/2"
- Window Hole: 10-3/8" x 8"
Let me just get this out of the way, everything you
need to install this material wise is included. You just need
a pencil and something to cut your side panel with. We went
with our beloved dremel, but I am saddened that during the course of
installing this kit the dremel spun for the last time. It died
in the middle of cutting, so if you're wondering, that's why this
review was slightly delayed. Onward...

With the kits available at the moment, most require
you to run a rubber molding around the edge of the side panel where
you did the cut. This kit goes along the same lines, except
its uses chrome molding more commonly found in auto shops.
These are a ton easier to use, and I actually like them better.

Here's out window, notice its not in
any circle or oval shape. Its a rectangle, with a pre-etched
atomic symbol in the middle. Its wrapped in protective paper
all around to prevent any dust or scratches from getting on the
surface.

You also receive this template to trace
out the oval shape that you would cut into your side panel.
Would have been easier if it just came pre-cut also.

There is also a long strip of
reflective tape used in conjunction with a Lazer
Led device. It helps spread out the light from the
LEDs. This kit also comes with a small piece of acrylic that
acts as a holder for the Laser Led if you plan on implementing
it. Keep in mind this Lazer Led is not included in this kit.
