After playing with this unit for a few weeks, I had
a few good numbers to report about this total case mod. Please
keep in mind, most normal cases don't really reach their normal
operating temperatures until it is 'broken' in. That's what we
did with this one. Like cars, they only get better over
time. Here are some temperature readings I took after running
it through some tests. I took some temperatures with the fans
on at full speed and off. Please note in the pictures below
that the the face plates on the dvd and cd-rw drive are not painted
yet. CDI does provide these services if you are interested in
getting the complete case.

I threw in my old Antec KS188 that I hacked a while
ago to compare the temperature differences if there were any.
They are almost similar in construction except for the larger
fans. All tests were taken using our trusty CompuNurse
except for the case temperature, that was taken using a regular
thermometer. All done of course with the system at full load.
The room temperature was at a constant 27C
throughout.

That's some sweet stuff! I thought my old case
was a great cooling creation, but this case seems a bit prettier and
cooler than I had suspected. The case and MB
temperatures are close, but the video and CPU temperatures are about
5 degrees less in both counts. This is most likely due to the
2 120mm Panaflos directly over the video and cpu.
One of the major selling points of this case in my
opinion is the noise level coming out of the case. There is a
low hum and that's about it. This is definitely a case that
won't be splitting your ears while you sleep.
Aside from the obvious cooling abilities of the
case, the price factor may play a role in your buying
decision. Even though this may be the absolute best looking
case or best modded case you can get, it does carry a high price
tag. But I do believe, if you have the money to spare in
getting that complete case modification with the works, this is the one to
get. Everything is pre-modded, all you need to do is throw
your system in there and the rest is already done.
Thanks to Roman over Computers
Divine for sending us this incredible sample. If anyone
has any questions about the Inwin Alaska complete case mod, give him
a call and he'll be more than happy to help you out.

Pros:
- Complete case modification
- Whisper quiet Panaflo fans used
- Very sturdy window kit
- Casters are included
- Sweet accessories like the Bay Bus, Fan Bus, Bay Cooler,
and Neon!
Cons:
- Price may be an issue with a few people
- 80mm intake and exhaust holes should have been cut all the
way to allow more air in and out of the case
