I threw my test rig into the case, which consisted of:
- AMD XP 2000+ w/TT Volcano 9 (AS3)
- EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard
- BuffaloTech 512MB DDR
- eVGA GF2MX 32MB
- Windows XP SP1
The case came with some documents detailing Chenbro's
very own testing by an outside firm. They used a P4 3.06Ghz CPU
and received pretty decent results. We won't go into that great
of a detail, but our AMD should be fun.
I ran the full setup at idle and full load, no
overclocks. At idle, with a 27C room temperature, the case
temperatures didn't rise past 33.5C. Using just the included fan
in the rear, at full load, we see the temperature rise and fluctuate
around 37-38C. This stayed put while a few games of
Counter-Strike were played. It operates with minimal sound,
a nice change in pace compared to our other fan laden case.
Overall, the case is easy to work with. All
parts are included like the I/O plate, screws and cables. The
removable hard drive cage is a bonus as well as the side cooling duct.
Thanks to Chenbro for sending over this sample, they
have a huge line of cases, we'll show you some more in the near
future. If you are looking for one yourself, try our
