One of the first things that you notice when you take the FlatLite out of the package is how solid it is, the actual chemical strip that lights up is wrapped in a sort of laminate, making it safe from dust and liquids. Aside from all of the potential case mods, there are a million uses including lining gauges in your dashboard or even using it with a battery pack and covering a scooter with it.
The backside of the cable has 2 conductive strips running down the length where you can glue the contacts from the inverter. With this method and enough of these contacts you should easily have several sections of FlatLite in your case.
Now lets take a look at the inverter and cables. Many concerns have been expressed over inverter noise or the heat generated from case lighting. The inverter doesnt make any noise, no whinning or anything and the FlatLite doesnt output any heat which is surprising when you consider the amount of light comming out of these cables. The inverter is 1 inch x 3/4 inch, there is a 4 inch lead to the molex connector and a 13 inch lead to the FlatLite.
