Since its release, Arctic Silver paste has been in high demand because of its excellent thermal conductivity. But as everyone who is even interested in heatsinks knows, there is not always a retention mechanism (or strategically located holes) to hold the ‘sinks firmly in place.
The options at this point for most of us are usually limited to thermal tape or epoxy. I do not know about the rest of you, but I have found the 3M brand of tape to be insanely difficult to apply. Attempting to remove both sides of the backing off that film (whose thickness can only be measured at the sub-atomic level) and then apply it without damaging the stuff is nearly impossible, although there are other brands that are somewhat easier to handle and apply.
So we ventured out and try to find the absolute best thermal epoxy available. Thanks to SubzeroPC for supplying us a sample to review. The Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy consists of two parts. You receive 3.5 grams each of part a and b (7 grams total).
