Another manufacturer of heatsinks from Taiwan, Evercool, is introducing their line of coolers.  We are going to take a look at their CUC 610 and CUD 725 model socket coolers.

This is their CUC 610 model, with the following specs:

Overall Dimension: 64*64*42 mm
FAN Dimension: 60*60*10mm
Current: 0.19A
Fan Speed: 4800 rpm
Air Flow: 20.67 CFM
Noise: 32 dBA
Thermal Resistance: 0.66¢J/W

The unit itself has a lower profile than the rest, getting close to the size of the AVC Tundra.  This would be a good unit to use if you're making a lan box where space is very limited.  Also, both Evercool units support Athlon/XP/Durons and P3/Tualatins cpus.

The top blue cover is where the fan is held into place.  Another use of that cover is to channel air a bit better directly into the core of the heatsink.  Also notice the bent fin, guess Fedex was a bit rough on this one.  The clip design is a bit better than the other units we've seen.  The single prong push down clip is larger, which makes it easier to push down.  Even if we still had to use our screw driver.

The bottom of the unit is protected by a plastic sheet, which covers the copper core.  This sort of reminds me of the Alpha units, but that may just be me.  Anyway, more and more companies are incorporating aluminum and copper to provide the best results.  Either that, or they're skimping on the cost to make a full copper unit.

Here is their CUD 725 unit, with the following specs:

Overall Dimension: 70*70*65mm
FAN Dimension: 70*70*25mm
Current: 0.33A
Fan Speed: 4200rpm
Air Flow: 42.08CFM
Noise: 32dBA
Thermal Resistance: 0.5¢J/W

This unit is a little larger than the previous, and it using copper through the heatsink.  Again, they decided to crap out on us and use the hard to push clip.

There's a pipe that goes across the middle in the above picture.  This was also evident in the SVC Golden Gate cooler we reviewed a while back.  Seems the pipe helps in cooling.

This unit has one of the most incredible finishes I've seen in this round up.  Absolutely no marks whatsoever, excellent contact for your CPU slug.
