BitsPower, a smaller manufacturer of heatsinks, came out with an interesting design a few weeks back. They had they heatsink fins angled, which they called skive technology. This allowed for more surface area, which meant better heat dissipation.
They have released a newer version of the NP60, but this time using copper instead of aluminum. The skiving technology is still there, as well as the clip design and fan. Here are some specs:

Aside from the obvious specs, the folks at BP are including Arctic Alumina thermal paste into each packaging. Instead of the thermal pad, they have opted for the paste which provide for a slew of added benefits.
Here's the profile of the unit, which shows the skiving design. Like some of the previous units, this also incorporates thin fin technology which is machine from one block.
The bottom of the heatsink isn't finished to a shine, but there aren't any rough areas to be worried about. The clip design can use some work too, as it does require a good amount of force using a screw driver to get on the socket.
