Google Earth seems to have captured an image of a car that seems to be flying. Kind of reminds me of Harry Potters' ride. The Register has the scoop as they sent someone to go take real pictures of the area. Pretty interesting read.
If you use Google, and you probably do, you might be surprised at the amount of information they record about you. Worst of all, you probably don't even know about it. According to a phone survey done by the Ponemon Institute, a mere 23% of the people surveyed were aware that Google collects personal data. Not only does Google connect your search results with your IP address, but it also can connect your search results with other Google services such as Gmail. Makes you wonder just how much Google knows about you, doesn't it? Read all about it at The Register.
Internet | German Court Demands Wikipedia to be Shutdown
As if Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, were not in already troublesome light, the German high court is demanding that the Wikipedia local site be shut down due to a hacker's real name being published online. Who will Wikipedia vex next? Only time will tell, it seems. Get more information here.

In an article posted on The Register today, some lobby groups in France proposed an amendment so that remuneration in the form of a flat fee (perhaps, something monthly) would be given for a certain amount of online downloads. Hurray for France?
Yet another "religious" perishable was posted for auction on eBay. This time, it's a spud with a cross inside! It's a semi-heartwarming story about a mother; supper; thoughts about Advent and Christmas; and the spud! The article (and this News Agent) wonders if Golden Palace Casino will purchase this potato...)
If you use Wikipedia fairly often, then you might be interested that a publishing firm in Germany will print and publish the German-language version of Wikipedia onto DVD and print! Surely you can't update the offline version but I suppose it's good for the kiddies who have limited interweb connection and still need to access the encyclopedia. Read more here.
