Did I mention this unit was black?  Instead of the plain beige, we received a nice flat black unit.  This matches very well with my 17" that is also of the same color, but we'll get to that later on.  Let's take a look at what we have here.

Since I've come into contact with Samsung products, I've noticed they do not bore you to death with their instruction manuals.  There is just a few warranty cards and a tiny booklet of 3 page instructions on driver installation and the such.  There is also a CDROM that contains drivers for Windows 9X/2k/XP if you need it.  They also include a 3 prong power cord, which means the unit has an internal power adapter.

If you look at the right side of the unit, you'll notice 6 buttons that make up the on screen adjustment.  From there, you can access brightness, contrast and other features.  What I liked the most is the auto-adjust button on the bottom.  Instead of manually doing horizontal and vertical position shifting, just hit this auto button and it will do it for you!  It will auto adjust it to make your desktop shift to fill in the monitor correctly.  This makes installing onto new machines a snap to customize.

The back of the unit allows for minimal adjustment.  With LCD monitors, some people like having the ability to rotate the screen 90 degrees.  Then through the use of pivoting software, this allowed them to view legal documents and other items vertically.  This unit does not have that, which I don't particularly mind since it was built around the idea of value.

The underside of the unit has the analog VGA output as well as the power plug.

That's the maximum tilt for the 151v, which is 140o / 120o according to Samsung.  There is no ability to rotate the screen left or right.  If you measure the bottom base, it will sit out about 6" when it is against a wall.  Sure beats the desk real estate that my old 19" CRT monitor consumed.
