After installing the Back plane into one of my cases I used one of the two single channel IDE cables Enhance Technology included to connect the hard drive in the top bay, leaving the second bay hard drive disconnected for the time being.
Back Plane installation complete.
I powered up the computer to see what would happen. All of the LED's on the ISWAP turned on. The top two green LEDs on the first channel lit up. The second channel only had a yellow LED indicating that the hard drive wasn't connected. The top LED is fan and temperature status. Green means that everything is working fine and red means that there is a fan failure or that the temperature is over the max allowed temperature.
Putting my hand up next to the back plane I was able to feel the air being sucked in. The amount of air that it is moving is more than both of my Cool Drive's in my server. The ISWAP does make the machine louder because of this.
Unlocking the 2nd drive made the led turn RED. The flash on my digital camera washed out the LED's a lot. So I took the picture once again without the flash.
So we have Yellow/Green/RED right now for colors, when active it gets a yellow/read color. They call it Amber. I never really was able to get a good picture of it, but below is the best one. It still looks more yellow / green to me in the picture.
