After reviewing our Antec KS282 Value mid tower case, we decided to beef up our box a little with an all aluminum case! A real case modders dream, this box will turn heads at any event!

Some specs of the case:

  • Size: 455(L)x208(W)x357(H)mm
  • Expansion: two 5.25", two 3.5" and three hidden 3.5"
  • Cooling: two 80mm Fans are included!
  • Removable Motherboard tray

The first impression of the case when it was taken out of the box was wow, this is something different! The case is constructed with all aluminum and is ultra light coming in at 4.8KGs! All removable parts on the case is constructed with thumb screws. Great for people who want to do everything hands on. There are no sharp edges on the case either so there should not be any blisters after using it!

The power button and reset button are situated right on top of each other, along with the power lights and hard drive lights. I pressed the button a couple of times to see if it would get stuck with repeated use, smooth operation each time.

There are two external 5 1/4" drive bays, it may cause a problem for people who have more. To remove these drive bays, you need to pop off the front bezel and unscrew the face plates from the sides. The front bezel is secured by four notches, very easily removed.

There are also two 3 1/5" bays, perfect for a floppy and another device. They are removed also by removing the front bezel. There is a drive bracket which can be removed by a couple of thumb screws.

The Mini-30 is also known for its cooling abilities as advertised on the box. Included are two 80mm ADDA fans on the bottom front of the case!

One unique feature of the case is that the two fans are cover with a custom filter! No more dust inside the case, another great idea for the lazy case modder : ) To reach the filters, you need to pop the front bezel off also. To remove the filters, just press down on the fours notches and it comes right off.

To the top right corner of the two fans, is a switch to change fan speeds. The switch changes from High, Medium and Low. Another nice touch, if you think the fans are too loud you can turn them down.
