The case will utilize our test rig for a quick temperature and overall test.  Our rig consists of:

  • AMD Tbird 1.4Ghz
  • Crucial PC2700 256MB DDR
  • eVGA GF2MX 32MB
  • IBM DJNA 22GB 7200RPM

A Compunurse as well as a Radio Shack digital thermometer will be used to calculate temperatures.  Let's see the results:

The Jupiter case does pretty well compared to some other aluminum cases we have reviewed.  The case is not loud during operation, lets take a look at what the front LCD panel can do.

The panel is used to show power and hard drive status as well as displaying time and temperatures from the single temperature probe.  Plus this is all done with the ability to choose from 7 different colored LED backlights!

   Here is the temperature display:

Sample of the different color choices:

   And the time display:

Overall the case is very well constructed.  All edges have been taken care of and the front LCD and extension ports are a plus.  The case has been anodized with makes it harder than normal aluminum, but still keeping the case light weight.

Thanks to Skyhawk for sending out this sample!

Pros:

  • Anodized finish
  • Front ext. ports
  • Built in LCD Panel
  • Thumbscrews included
  • Easy to pull out panels

Cons:

  • Break away component slots
  • No slide out motherboard tray
