Fans, fans, fans. 2 in the back, 1 in the front and 2 on the side. I didn't do a quantitative cooling comparison on this bad boy but I am sure it carries it weight. The VR panel in front controls them all on three channels. Plugging the fans in is a piece of cake. If you want to isolate or filter the air flow I don't think this case is suitable because the air comes in from too many places.
The inside of all the panels are finished flat black, good attention to detail. All the screws in this case and mobo tray are backed by steel threaded studs. Even though this is a thick 2mm and has plenty of room for threads, I applaud Enermax for this quality touch. One mistake they made however is that there is no clearance allowed for the expansion cards when the mobo tray is pulled out. It doesn't block them, it is just that the hole they have to come out through is exactly the same size. This causes the cards to scrape on the way out. So on one hand it is built to exacting tolerance but on the other, if you spec the hole at the same size as the cards then this is what you get.
The specs say that it has 100% folded edges. This must be a cut and paste from the specs of their steel boxes. They are not rolled nor buffed or rounded. The 2mm thick material they use certainly is thick enough you donít have finger cutting problem though.
The top panel comes off easily enough; unlike some other high end cases I have seen. It exposes lots of room and space to work. I tucked all the extra power cords up here.
A few minor distractions but overall it is a beautiful box. The finish is outstanding and it doesn't leave you with a lot of modding to do upfront. I still have some cable management issues, a black Digital Doc and some neon to add. It's pretty much a plug and play pre-modified case. I really enjoy working with this unit every time I touch it. By the way, I used Endust for Electronics, works great on both the car finish and the Plexiglas.
