Here we go again with another CCFL review. You know we love these things just like the next guy, but we always try to get the newest 'models' to show here on GT. Today, we're going to take a look at the a CCFL kit from BitsModding,
This kit is currently not yet available to the public, but should arrive soon to some of your favorite e-tailers soon. Let's take a look at what we have on the review block:
Pretty basic, but do notice that they carry a purple CCFL!
I thought it was pretty neat to have it all packaged up in a sturdy box. If you ever used a ThermalRight SK6 copper heatsink, this kind of reminds me of that packaging. Let's open this baby up:
Two layers of foam protect the CCFL in addition to having an acrylic tube on the CCFL itself.
The insulator is wrapped in hard heatshrink. The white wires go over to the CCFL tube while the red/black end up going through a rocker switch and molex connectors.
The rocker switch comes pre-wired and heatshrunk, there is no assembling required. These kits are getting VERY plug and play.
The kit also comes with a set of three zip tie mounts and a piece of foam tape.
