Over the last few years "modding" your computer, car, boat or whatever you have, has been in vogue. Seeing a car drive by with neons underneath or an illuminated dashboard has become a daily occurrence. One company that can handle all of those needs is Californeon. They are a company that has been involved in lighting rock shows, lighting accents for costumes, making lighting license plates, and lighting up your computer's insides and outsides.
Californeon was nice enough to supply us with a 5 foot sample of their aqua "Personal Computer Lightstrip" for a review. I have a lot of expectations since we have seen their competitors products, BeingSeen's Flatlite and EL Custom Shops Light Strip in action.
Here is the front and back of the product.
Once you get into the package (I recommend a sharp knife), you will find 5 feet of EL LightStrip and an inverter fully wired with a single molex ready to plug into your computer's power supply.
Californeon included a simple set of instructions with their product that explains how to install the product, what to do if you cut it, and a notice that says: "You will notice a small humming noise coming from the inverter. This is NORMAL.
