Mobile Edge provides carrying cases for all computer users on the go. Their goal is to make stylish bags for him and her. They are also the ones that designed the Alienware line of laptop bags. I was sent the Alienware Odyssey messenger bag to review for a couple of months. I have used this messenger bag as a repalcement for the Targus bag I reviewed last year.
The messenger style bag is not the same as a backpack. Both are still able to fit my large 17" Dell laptop. The bags look a bit like the Alienware laptops with the ribbed sections and design.

Since my oldest daughter kidnapped my portable CD player during one of her last visits, I have been using my PDA (Zaurus 5600) as a MP3, a note taker and Nethack when I am bored. It fits in the top media spot with the head phone port.
The clips to hold the top cover closed are large and fit the design of the bag very well.
The side pockets are large enough to fit your gaming mouse among other items. The zipper pull strings all have the Alienware head on them to keep with the theme.
Some of the things I tested to make sure fit in the side pockets are my Sharp Zaurus and a referance guide for vi.
I even placed in the pocket my portable 2.5" HDD enclosure that I had for a few years now. One of my Christmas gifts this year was the Darth Spud zipper pull so I had to put it on the bag.
Also on each side of the bag where the sholder straps are located, you have two pockets for smaller items. Thing like your cell phone or bluetooth head set fit easily in these pockets.
