Just for the sake of comparison I took the heatsink I just cleaned and
applied a dab of Arctic Alumina, Arctic Silver 3, and Arctic Silver 5.

I placed a couple drops on each spot and waited 30 seconds.

With a few quick wipes of the paper towel I had...

A perfectly clean heatsink. Even with the rather thick dabs
of the grease, the cleaner was able to chew right through in a matter of
seconds. While the ArctiClean
website's instructions state that you should remove any loose material with
a rag or credit card before using the first compound, I found that doesn't
really matter if you do it or not. It seems to do an equally good job
either way.
ArctiClean makes cleaning heatsinks easy and idiot proof.
Personally, I will be using it from this point forward. It's hard to
believe that previously I put so much work into doing a task that I can
now accomplish in a couple of minutes. Plus, short of mixing the
bottles up (all two of them), there's simply no way anyone could screw it
up.
