For testing, I used the onboard SATA controller of my Intel 915PBL motherboard and a Western Digital WD1600 SATA drive.

As usual I ran SiSoft Sandra's file system benchmark with both ATake cables and two of the cables that came included with my motherboard.  I expected to see a slight drop with the ATake cables due to the fact they are considerably longer than my stock cables.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the drive performed exactly the same with all four cables.

Like the IDE cables, the selection of colors is somewhat limited.  At this time there is only red, red UV, green, and blue UV cables available.  This shouldn't prove to be too much of an issue though.  Most projects are going to require a one of these colors or not care about the color.
