Now let's take a look at the internals.

After taking off the outer cover of the enclosure, I found the drive mounting brackets, the stands, and a packet of silica gel which I was only barely able to resist eating.

One of the really, really nice things about the redesigned NexStar is the internal power adaptor. Rather than having a cumbersome external converter, everything is mounted in the enclosure. Also notice that the circuits are protected by plastic sheets. This serves to keep you from getting shocked, and also to prevent you from shocking the chip with ESD.

Here we see the internal circuits after removing them from the enclosure. Everything is bundled together in one tight package. From a modding perspective, this little bundle could be very useful if combined with a removable IDE hard drive rack...
