To see how the cables performed, I took my trusty 40GB IBM Deskstar hard drive that was still freshly formatted and ran some comparisons.

For testing purposes, I compared the Wisetech cables with a Foxconn ATA/133 ribbon cable. Foxconn is known for making very nice OEM cables and are the original cables usually found in Apple products and some higher end motherboards.

First off, we plugged in the Foxconn cable, and placed the drive in the hard drive rack of my In-Win Q500 case. Notice how the ribbon cable is not able to flex very well, and I just had to mash it into the empty space between the drives.

The Wisetech Blue UV cable went in much easier. The blue color looks right at home in my case too. You can barely even see it.

The black Wisetech cable was easy to install as well. Unlike the blue, it is fairly easy to pick it out.
