From the numbers the obvious winner is the Ratpadz it puts less friction on the base of the mouse and more friction on the mouse ball; increasing the responsiveness of the mouse. I also like the feel of the Ratpadz above all the other mouse pads, it’s so big and the beveled edge really does increase the comfort of using a mouse. I have to honestly say that once I used the Ratpadz I will never go back.
Note for optical users: As I was testing out the Everglide and Ratpadz, I let four people in my hall that had optical mice use them to see how well they worked. The two people with Microsoft explorer mice has problems with the optical sensor getting confused when the mouse was moved very fast in one direction. The mouse would jump back and forth while traveling in the direction of the mouse movement. The other two people had Logitech optical mice and didn’t experience this phenomenon.
