Something you can find in your kitchen:

Pros:

  • Big

  • Cheap

  • Doesn’t
    dull your knifes

  • You
can cook and frag at the same time

  • Convenient placed “LAN Handle”

Cons:

  • Not
    the best performer

  • Moves
around (rubber feet would help this)

  • No
    beveled edges

  • You
    look weird using it

  • Probably
damages the Teflon pads on the bottom of the mouse

First Impression:

I went to the local King Soopers (Safeway, Albertsons, Hannaford. Large Grocery Store), and found myself a $3.50 cutting board. It measures 11”x 8”, almost as big as the Ratpadz. The mouse felt pretty good on the cutting board almost like the Ratpadz and the Everglide. If you want to feel what it is like to use one of these expensive mouse pads or you want to builder your won “super pad” you may want to try this out. Just remember the results are a lot better with the Ratpadz and Everglide pads.

The Tests:

1st Trail 2nd Trail 3rd Trail 4th Trail 5th Trail 6th Trail 7th Trail 8th Trail
2.35s 3.32s 3.1s 2.81s 3.45s 2.91s 3.19s 3.24s

Average: 3.046s

Ball Friction:

1st Trail 2nd Trail 3rd Trail 4th Trail 5th Trail
6.6mm 7.2mm 7.6mm 7.1mm 6.9mm
6th Trail 7th Trail 8th Trail 9th Trail 10th Trail
6.4mm 7.5mm 7.2mm 7.6mm 7.8mm

Average: 7.19mm

Well as the numbers show, the Ratpadz and Everglide pads are defiantly not a cutting board! The cutting board applied a lot of friction to the base of the mouse, while applying very little friction to the mouse ball.
