There are three yellow LEDs on my Microsoft Internet Keyboard that shows num lock, caps lock and scroll lock. Pretty pale colors once again.

Sorry about the shadow, my hand got in the way.

I flipped the keyboard over to get to the 10 screws that hold the keyboard in place. A regular philips screwdriver will do the trick.

After removing the underside, I flipped only that portion over. I didn't want the keys to start falling out, plus the PCB where the LEDs are attached are not there anyway.

The PCB has the LEDs side by side and they give you a nice diagram to tell you how to position them. On the under side are the two points on each light that hold it together. Touch you iron on these points and pull on the LEDs and they'll pop out.

After measuring our LEDs and cutting them accordingly, solder them back on and screw everything back.

Now that should be the stock color, really shines bright in the dark. And I know all you folks like typing and playing games at night, what better way to keep yourself awake.
