I have received a number of emails asking what and how to put a molex connector on a fan. Since many of you purchase fans bulk (like me), they come without these familar connectors attached already: 


   So your project for today is to make that molex connector above, work with this fan below (or any 12V fan):


  The only thing you need to be careful of is the wiring. Here is what a standard molex connecting looks like:

   Make sure you have the correct wires going to the right place or things might get a little toasty. The pic above is meant as an example, but most of the time the red wire on a fan is for 12V and the black is for the ground.

   So what do you need to get this going? Is it going to cost me more to put that together than to get one already assembled?
