Now you're ready to paint! Painting is done in the same fashion as applying the primer; three layers, each consisting of two coats applied perpendicular to one another. Sand each piece with the 400 grit sandpaper, between each layer application, to make sure they are clear of bubbles, hair, dust, and other unwanted nasties. The top cover of my case received an extra layer of paint because it was most likely to get the most abuse. Once again, I suggest you let the pieces sit about 24 hours to ensure a good bond to the primer.
If you aren't going to add another color to any of the case pieces, you can skip this step and move to the next section. If you are going to add a second color to any piece of your case, here's what you do. First you'll need to mask off any areas that you don't want to paint. Tip: If you are painting with more than one color start with the lighter colors and move to the darker ones. It is easier to cover a lighter color with a darker one, than vice versa. Once everything is masked, paint away. This goes just like before. Spray in one direction. Spray perpendicular to it. Let the paint dry. Sand the surface. Repeat. And just like before, give the paint about 24 hours to bond to the surface.
