So the moment has come, what exactly does this thing look like. Here are some shots:
My camera doesn't like to take pictures in the dark, but you can make out what the Afterburner kit can do for you. I heard that some people have been experiencing washed out colors in certain games. I've only seen it in a few of the games I own. I actually think this is mainly caused by the game developers using brighter colors to compensate for the dark stock non-lit GBA screen. Then again, I'm probably wrong like always. Not exactly sure if I would be better off having a correctly installed AR film, but so far, without it I have been having a good time playing on my GBA.
Overall, the kit is a nice accessory to have. It does involved some hacking to your GBA, so if your mom bought you that GBA, and you're afraid of disappointing her, don't do this. But if you're into this whole 'modding' thing, grab a kit at TritonLabs, it's only $35 and can save you tons later down the road for that eye surgery you're going to need by looking at the un-modified GBA screen.
