Upon opening the package you will find the following:

The Hardcano 8 VR unit, Molex to 3 pin fan adaptors, 3 pin speed sensor adaptor, 2 mounting screws, 3.5 drive mounting adaptors, Molex to 3 pin adaptor, and the instruction sheet.

I use the term "instruction sheet" loosely.  The back part of the packaging contained the exact same information.  Not only is the English kind of sketchy with phrases like, "This fan speed control function is for constant speed fan only. Do not use the temp controlled fan or adjustable speed fan.", but they didn't even give much of a clue as to how you were supposed to hook the device up.  The drive rail adaptors were not even mentioned anywhere.  The only thing resembling set up instructions was a really difficult to understand diagram that wound up being more confusing than helpful.

This is a problem that is totally inexcusable for a product that's aimed at the more casual consumer than hardcore modder.

It was only by trial and error that I figured out what those metal plates were for.
