Installation is pretty straight forward. If you know how to install a PCI card, then you are good to go. I tried the Revolution in both my PC and Apple G4 Powermac, and had excellent results with both.
M-Audio has some excellent software to go with this card. Setting it up was pain free too. Both the Mac and the PC detected the card with no problem. All I had to do is pop in the included driver disk, hit ok, and I was golden. The control panel is virtually identical between the Mac and PC, and is full featured yet unobtrusive. Unlike Creative, M-Audio does not bundle a lot of useless crap that you will never use in the driver CD.
The control panel comes with a nifty feature that configures the card to optimal conditions for supported speaker systems. As you can see from the drop down list, there are many supported speaker systems from many manufacturers. If your system isn't listed, you can select from a generic type and customize the settings to your liking.
You are also able to control the volume of each speaker independently. You can also "solo" one particular speaker, which sends all of the sound to just one speaker and mutes all the others. This is extremely handy for testing purposes.
