Note: We have since changed our temperature measuring from using the onboard sensor on the motherboard, to using the CompuNurse, an external temperature probe. This probe is situated right next to the CPU slug, so it provides the most precise temperature reading as possible.
Our installation was made on our AMD T-Bird test rig. It consists of:
- IWill KK266 Socket A Motherboard
- AMD Thunderbird 800 (Arctic Silver)
- Crucial PC133 128MB CL2 SDRAM
- EVGA GF2 MX 32MB AGP Video Card
- Windows 98SE
For our tests, we recorded the temperature of the cpu at idle and at full load. Full load consists of running Distributed.net's RC5 and MadOnion's 3D Mark 2001 Benchmark programs.

This cooler is not at all going to go too well with higher overclocked systems. The fan's speed and the unit's size may be something that is holding it back. But with a price tag of about $20 it isn't that bad for an all copper cooler. The unit is smaller than all the other samples, so it should fit on any type of board without a problem.
I would recommend this unit only if you have a slower speed cpu and do not plan on overclocking it too high. Otherwise this unit will not provide the needed cooling abilities necessary.
Thanks to Cyber Cooler for sending us a test unit, hopefully a larger unit based on this model will emerge. They have a huge line of different types of coolers available, they may have something you need.
