Case badges are familiar to just about everyone. It lets retailers mark their own computer systems as well as letting consumers customize logos themselves. Since the introduction of badges, there hasn't been much fuss or improvement in the 1 X 1 inch square adhesive badge.
With all the lights going into cases and other things, the case badge was likely to get this face lift. CrazyPC sent over their case badge light kit, which lets the user add some spice to their badge.
The kit comes with a small square LED embedded block, molex Y-splitter, blank adhesive sheet and a small alcohol swap pack.
The backing of the block peels away to reveal an adhesive. This will allow it to stick to your front bezel of your case. The included wire will plug into the back to supply power. We received a red unit, which upon initial testing proved quite unique:
To get this installed, you will need a drill with a 1/2" bit. The way the kit works is that this block will fit over and into the hole that your drill:
Once you have it stuck on tightly, take any paper backed case badge and stick it on. This kit will only work with thin paper backed badges, using metal backed version will not let the light shine through.
